Ethylene glycol

Ethylene glycol in its pure form, it is an odorless, colorless, syrupy, sweet tasting liquid.

Uses: it absorbs water.

Found in: automotive antifreeze and inks for stamp pads, ball point pens and print shops.

Effects: Acute: very poisonous when swallowed. It forms chemicals that crystallize, and the crystals can collect in your kidneys and affect kidney function. Be sure to keep it out of reach of children and animals. Will cause severe damage to heart, kidneys, and brain. It can potentially cause death.

**Propylene glycol is much less toxic, and should be saught in the antifreeze brand you choose.**
