Just shy of her 16th birthday, Miss Bean died on March 19, 2011.
To give a little perspective: I adopted Bean along with her sister Maggie when I was 24 years old. I’m now 40. Some major life events have happened between then and now, yet Bean remained my constant companion. I called her insta-purr, as soon as I touched her she would begin purring.
She’s seen ‘em come, and seen ‘em go: dogs, cats, friends, boyfriends, an apartment, a house, even a husband. My relationship with her is one of the longest I’ve ever had!
She was such a perfect companion, and I feel lucky I shared as many years with her as I did. She enjoyed many years of good health, and a fun environment. She made me laugh more times than not.
If there is a “kitty heaven” Miss Bean is there with Maggie… and is still the prettiest girl on the block. Enjoy a short slide show of some of her adventures…

So sorry for your lss. Saw this post on the Community Cat Coalition fb page.
I’m so sorry for your loss, but I know how blessed your life has been to be able to share that many years with your pet. The love our animals selflessly give is one in a million and worth more than all the wealth or material items we gather during our lifetime. One of my most cherished pets, Maybelline-an Appaloosa, was my Christmas gift at age 12 and she remained a tremendous and beautiful part of my life until I was 40. The memories we all have cherished with our families of pets will carry us to a safer place in our heart.
ANN! I had no idea that you lost your dear friend recently…I am SO SORRY!!! I will email you personally but I wanted to leave you a comment here. I found out via the community cat coalition FB page as well and when I heard it was your girl, I had to message you!!!
Teresa,
Thanks so much for your condolences. I am lucky Bean was with me for so long. Your Maybelline was with you for 28 years – incredible! How fantastic. The amazing thing about our pets is they see the best and the worst of us, and love us both ways. I’d love to see a picture of your baby, if you don’t mind sharing.
