Do I have your attention? O-Kay.
As you may know, there is currently a Bill being considered in the Senate dubbed the “Ag Gag” Bill (Senate Bill S05172). I’ve already been contacted by some, who called their representatives after receiving notice of the Bill. Thank you!
Today I received a call and in conversation was informed there is another Bill currently being considered called the Companion Animal Access and Rescue Act (Senate Bill S05363A and Assembly Bill A07312). Thanks Judie!
Both of these Bills will have a great impact on millions of animals. So, I was inspired to start a petition, and will send this petition to Senators and Assembly members throughout NYS.
Together, we can change the face of animal treatment in New York State. View and sign petition. If you are so inclined, please call your representatives, and (politely) share your thoughts. Find your assembly member and your senator. If you are not a NYS resident, kindly note in the comments of the petition that you are a concerned citizen, and name your state.
If you’re really inspired, please call the office of Senator Avella, the only Agriculture Committee member who questioned and then opposed the Ag Gag Bill in committee. He should know we appreciate, and encourage, his opposition to this Bill.
