A Little Something For Everyone, 2011 Reflection

I have many interests; nearly all of them revolve around animals and their well being. I am always brought back to the fact – how we treat the most vulnerable in our society is a reflection of our culture, and we can do many, many things to live compassionately. As with anything worth doing, there is good, bad and indifferent.

Here are a few of my favorite posts that relate to all three.

As Paul likes to say, famous last words were uttered when I agreed to foster Frank over two years ago – “it’s just temporary”. He said again yesterday “that dog hit a gold mine when he found you”. Likewise, for me: Dog Rescue

Frank is known to write a guest post or two. He’s got some sage advise if your fur pal gets anxious when you leave the house. I like to get his perspective on various ways we humans live our lives. It can be easy to forget how we effect others, especially when they don’t speak. I Get Lonely

I can’t really call this post one of my favorites, but it combines several issues I consider the most pressing of today: environmental safety and sustainability, animal cruelty, community and our right to freedom of information.  If The Cruelty Doesn’t Get You, Living In Shit Will

Here’s another post I can’t say I love, but I hope it gets people thinking. It’s both heart wrenching, and heart warming. It is the core reason why Sound Earth is a cruelty free company. Using Your Kindness Against You

This last post I’ll highlight for you envelopes, perhaps, my goals for 2012. Ultimately, it is the effort coupled with self care that moves us forward.  Reach For Perfection

Best wishes for a Happy, Healthy New Year!
